Higher Certificate in Professional Canine Behaviour Practice

The Higher Certificate in Professional Canine Behaviour Practice is for people who wish to work as a Canine Behaviour Consultant. This Higher Certificate looks at the protocols of working in people’s homes, clinics or veterinary practices.

Teaching the skills required to gather the relevant information, to develop your own unique style of interviewing and assessing clients and their dogs, managing and changing the environment, temperament testing and canine observational techniques. Learning about personal safety and the management of people and dogs, report writing and encompassing all that a behavioural consultation entails.

Before starting this Higher Certificate you need to complete the prerequisite course shown below. Those with six months or more experience may forego this course, for more details please see the grey button below.

Completing the Certificate allows you to apply for ‘Trainer’ membership of the Guild of Dog Trainers

This Higher Certificate course can be used as a pathway to joining the Canine & Feline Behaviour Association (CFBA) – Britain’s largest canine specific behaviour association
