To understand the client in the remit of Canine Behaviourist. To further develop your knowledge of how the domestic dogs mind works and the basic causes of common canine behaviour problems.
Phase 1 (Home Study)
This is delivered as a Home Study phase. This includes initial work based analysis and research. This also provides you with an opportunity to meet dog owners and to interview them. You are also required to conduct secondary research via the Internet, library and other sources such as books and journals on specific equipment used for the training and control of dogs.
Phase 2 (Home Study)
This phase looks at the human psychological aspects of common canine behaviour problems, the far reaching consequences and effects. Viewing real-life client cases on DVD and solving those issues. Learning to take into account, not only the dog, the owner, the circumstances, their relationships, but also equipment and the psychological ramifications of such on the owner as well as the psychology and physiology of the dog. This takes a stark look into the reality of life with dogs, far away from the text book theory.
Phase 3 (Home Study)
This phase brings together the activities of the two previous phases. Delegates will be required to relate the experiences and knowledge gained from phase 2 to their initial research, analysis, learning and experiences from phase 1, contextualising and applying the knowledge gained to their professional activities. Exploring different ideologies, and further exploring life in the real world as Canine Behaviour Practitioner.
Further your understanding of how the domestic dogs mind works and the basic causes of many of the most common canine behaviour problems.Home Study
